Italy is loved and Italy is well known for its spectacular backdrops that frame some of the most gorgeous destination weddings in the world, what you don’t know about Italy is that there are lots of unexplored territories and beautiful landscapes outside of the beaten paths. This Romantic and Epic Castle Wedding will make you want to jump on an airplane and explore all the unseen beauty of Italy.
Veronica and Oliver did their homework and decided that they wanted a very (A)typical Italian wedding both beautiful and unusual so they opted for an epic Castle Wedding. Nested on the green hills of Treviso gloriously sits the old and mysterious Castello di San Salvatore (Castle of San Salvatore), which was built in the 13th and 14th centuries, and is one of the largest castles in Italy.
During the Venetian pax the manor saw the blossoming of an artistic season, hosting painters, musicians, poets and writers. It is in the sixteenth century that Monsignor Giovanni Della Casa wrote his famous Galateo. The palaces are enriched with works by the great Venetian masters of the period and an extraordinary cycle of frescoes by Pordenone adorns the Old Chapel.
The choice of the castle as wedding venue for Veronica and Oliver’s celebration was dictated by Veronica’s romantic spirit and her Italian origins, when looking at the couple you almost can feel transported to an old and charming era among dames and knights.
Veronica chose a gorgeous and very appropriate Sareh Nouri gown for her day of wedding and then changed into a sparkly and glamorous party dress for the evening.
The whole wedding party was small, a total of 40 people but they all travelled from across the globe in order to be present at their friends’ wedding after the postponement of 2020. The results for fashion were colorful and classy, glamorous and sophisticated with hints of Italian countryside and “dolce vita”.
Let’s not forget the food and the incredible hospitality that Italy has to offer when it comes to host a party, so make sure to hop on over the unbelievable rehearsal dinner to dive head first into what happens truly at an Italian dinner party!
