After postponing their big wedding this couple tied the knot in their wedding planner’s backyard in California.
Chez Balliet House, Amorology
Kelsey and Jake had a large wedding planned for the summer of 2020, but due to the recent world events, and having to prioritize social distancing and the safety of everyone involved, guests and wedding vendors, they decide to postpone the event and planned an intimate backyard wedding in California, with the help of their planner: Heather Balliet of Amorology.
Heather offered her own backyard for the backyard wedding. Most importantly, Kelsey and Jake wanted to give their 30 guests a memorable experience while doing everything they could to keep them safe. The result? An outdoor summer wedding, complete with a lilac, blush, bone, tan, mauve, and curry green color palette.
Every detail was thought in depth and even the gorgeous invitations designed by Epoch Design were on point with a bone-hued and blush letterpress suite that was filled with lilac script.
Kelsey wanted her gown to be the focal point of her look, so she kept her accessories simple but she didn’t hold back when it came to her bouquet, beautifully designed by Posey Pop with cream, lilac, blush, and peach floral varietals.
The peculiarity of a backyard wedding is most definitely its relaxed feel, but what makes a simple backyard wedding a luxury wedding is the attention to details and this one had a ton of them, from the sunset ombré structure, built specifically to be the backdrop for the altar, to the rattan fan on the beautiful lilac velvet chairs of the ceremony. Multiple lounging set ups where displayed throughout the backyard, including chairs, cushions, and couches in blush, ivory, and green.
Then finally the dinner tables which were beautifully designed with rattan chargers, white dinner plates, gray floral salad plates, gold flatware, and lilac linen napkins, looped with a gold holder. Green glasses and ceramic tumblers punched things up; blush votives held tea candles and the same beautiful lilac velvet chairs were repurposed for their guests to sit.
If you haven’t already skipped all this to check the photos out, then it’s probably time for you to dive in, and find out all the many details and beautiful ideas implemented in this gorgeous backyard wedding in California.
