An Ethereal Malibu Rocky Oaks Engagement Session

Engagement sessions are one of the best opportunities to get to know my clients before their wedding day, and a way to work together without the pressure of the big day. In my opinion we must be realistic about the cold-feet-feeling that being in front of the camera can give. Everyone needs a little warming up before the big day, in my opinion.

Pre-wedding shoots are frequently very intimate sessions that can take place anywhere. In Sophia and Calvin case, they opted for the stunning Malibu Rocky Oaks, nested on the Malibu Hills.

If you’re considering an engagement session, keep in mind that it’s also a great opportunity to flex your fashion style. While you may have ideas of what you want, you may not be certain how to convey them. A photographer can help guide you in these areas to find out your preferences and styles while helping determine what you like and don’t like during the session.  They are beautiful opportunities to create masterful, editorial style images in unique destinations, with incredible fashion, hair and makeup.

In short, the engagement session was an incredible opportunity for us to get to know one another, for them to get comfortable in front of the camera and of course, for us to create beautiful images of them outside of their wedding day.
