Early this spring, I spent a beautiful day in Santa Barbara with Caitlin and James Maslow, capturing their love story. Together with we planned a vintage beach engagement session.
The key to a properly themed engagement session is preparation. We planned ahead of time and collected outfits and props. Caitlin wore two different one-piece bathing suits, a black and a white.
Together, James and Caitlin are an explosive couple, always traveling the world, and it was incredible to catch a glimpse of their love while having fun. Despite the accurate planning, their spontaneous attitude created an incredible gorgeous mix of romantic and fun photographs.
I have always been inspired by the 50s, the Italian-style bathing suit of that time, and the the whole vibe, so when Caitlin and James proposed this vintage beach engagement session I was thrilled to be their photographer.
