It’s a fact the right floral accents can make a gorgeous wedding, stunning! The wedding bouquet is an accessory that should never be overlooked because it will complement a bride’s dress and add a whole new meaning to the word style. There are many wedding bouquet ideas to draw inspiration from and in this blog post I want to share some of my favorites.
Like most things fashion related, trends can change but the inspirations you see below, despite being absolute on trend for 2021 and 2022 are also timeless choices that the current bride won’t regret 20 years from the wedding day.
Whether you are a trend setter or a bride with a more timeless aesthetic there are wedding bouquet ideas for everyone!
This is a pageant bouquet, very typical in the english countryside of the early 30s, this bouquet is coming back full force and it becomes a statement piece for those modern brides who desire a slightly more minimal look, without giving up on romance. Rather than grasped front and center with both hands, like most bouquet types, this bouquet is cradled in the crook of one arm (which means it typically veers longer and skinnier in shape).
How romantic and how perfect for a garden wedding. This wedding bouquet idea is soft, springy and pastel, ideal for those spring and early summer weddings. The style of this bouquet is called “crescent-style” because it follows the shape of a crescent moon, with both sides curving down. It’s popularity begun a few years ago and it’s definitely one of the most common options.
This is very likely one of my favorite kind of wedding bouquets! I am obsessed with the asymmetrical look, it just add so much interest to a bride’s look. No matter from what angle you’re observing this little piece of art, it will look differently and with its shape, leads your eye in all different directions every time. If it was a painting we’d describe it as the perfect visual attention grabber.
Let’s also spend a minute to observe the colors in this bouquet. It’s definitely springy, but also bold and bright. It is not for the faint of heart but it will surely be a show stopper!
Awww, don’t we all love a good monochromatic outfit?! Well this is a monochromatic bouquet done to perfection. Monochromatic could look boring and shabby, but when you have an expert floral designer, they would add texture and interest visual points to the composition, to truly get one of the most gorgeous wedding accessory ever.
The Posy bouquet is a classic bouquet style, so classic that Meghan Markle chose to carry this style at her wedding with Prince Harry. The bloom formation is typically round in shape, while the stems are cut to the same length and bound tightly together. It has very minimal additional foliage and the style definitely has more of a traditional feel, but can veer romantic or glam.
The elongated cascading bouquet takes the shape of a waterfall. This kind of bouquet is usually associated with very romantic and vintage weddings but in this very case the choice of a bold and bright color is what makes it modern and fun. Perfect for a young bride and maybe a tropical wedding. A more natural cascading bouquet will use vines or foliage tendrils loosely intertwined with blooms to achieve the shape, while the more traditional take on the cascading bouquet, sometimes called a teardrop bouquet, is more formed and formal, with more defined shape and dimension to its outside boundaries. This bouquet type is not for the budget-conscious because there’s a lot of wiring involved and these can get expensive.
Another one of my all time favorite bouquets. This feminine and neutral kind of bouquet is complementary to most weddings, with its sophistication goes well with every style but it’s most suitable for fresh summery, garden weddings. It’s not much about its shape, but it’s all about the muted and soft colors.
